Parenting

One of my favorite things about having a new baby with a toddler is watching her learn how to interact with the baby and "parent" from watching us. (I am a little concerned that this will bite me in the butt someday, but it hasn't yet so I'm enjoying it).
Here are a few examples.
She says "Hi Mr. Gabe!" frequently now after hearing me say it once after he woke from a nap. It sounds precious in toddler voice.
She also holds out her arms to him and says "Come see me" as if she's going to pick him up.
On the other hand, Eleanor has some parenting techniques that are all her own. When he was crying in the car last week, she turned to him from her carseat and firmly said and signed "Stop!" several times. It didn't work, but it did really seem worth a try.
