Scratchy sounds

I need to explain what Eleanor's doing in this picture: for about 6 weeks now, she has been scratching her fingernails on nearly every surface she can get her hands on. I think she likes all the different sounds, because the more noise the surface makes, the longer she scratches it. For instance, this fabric makes a little noise, so she'll check it out fairly briefly. The textured wall surface by her changing table, on the other hand, is super interesting!
