28 Week Update

Sorry, this is 2 days late now. We are 28 weeks this week, and developmentally the most exciting thing for Monkey is that she now has eyelashes! She probably weighs between 2.5 and 3 pounds, and she is currently lying sideways with her head on the right and her feet on the left. Eventually I will need her to turn around, of course, but she has some time still. She also has a pretty regular sleep wake cycle now. She sleeps for 30 minutes, then is awake for 30 minutes, then sleeps for 30 minutes, and so on and so on. She does that 24 hours a day, and it's about normal from what I read. Next up for us is an appointment on Thursday, when I will have a glucose tolerance test. I have to drink orange sugar water (yuck) and then have my blood drawn to look for signs of gestational diabetes. It's not one we're worried about, but it's safest to check just the same.
