Seed planting day

It's 108 F and so hot in the shade that my phone shut down. It must be time for some gardening! Eleanor is very excited about Growing Vegetable Soup (thank you Lois Ehlert), but I have some concerns about her technique. She is very good at digging and raking and mixing. Then, she throws huge handfulls of whatever seeds are unguarded into the garden. After that, she climbs up into the raised bed and stomps around on the whole thing in her frog boots, then ends with a flood in one corner from the lizard watering can. I actually have no idea what we planted today. It's gardening with added suspense :)
In other news, Eleanor has now noticed that my name is Sarah (in addition to mommy), but she believes Richard's name to be. . . Honey.
Also, Gabriel is huge. That is all.
