Now that she is 23 months old, Eleanor has been using a lot of sentences and more complicated phrases. She also has some really funny verbal quirks. Our favorite one right now is following things she approves of with "okay." So, for example, "Eleanor, do you want to read a book?" "Read a book, okay." Except it tends to all run together as one word, so it sounds like "Readabookokay." Or, alternatively "Eleanor, do you need to go to the potty?" "Pottyokay." Or if she doesn't need to go, "No no no" with accompanying signs just for emphasis.
She recently noticed that my stomach was a bit larger than normal. She was concerned for about a week, when she frequently patted it and said "Mommy tummy, baby," but then she decided it wasn't such a big deal after all and went back to business as usual.
She also recently moved into her Beeg Gurl Room. It was a pretty chill move all things considered. She is especially pleased with her shelves full of toys, "couch," lamp, and bookshelves.
Eleanor loves:
Being outside
Reading books
Snuggles
Climbing
Family
Eleanor does not love:
Listening to directions
Not getting what she wants
Going to sleep
