Shots, shots, shots

Eleanor survived her 6 month check up. That may not sound like much, but since she got 5 shots, she would probably argue that it's a pretty big accomplishment. In addition to her regular vaccinations, she also received both kinds of flu shots.

She's also been eating solid food for one week now, and it's going great! She was pretty unsure at first, but a week later you'd think she'd been doing it her whole life. She opens her mouth wide for every bite and would really like to just take the spoon and handle the whole thing herself. We've promised she can once she improves her aim enough that the spoon atleast moves toward the vicinity of her head.
Her menu to date has included apple, banana, avocado, peas, carrots, and asian pear. Her favorite is probably pear, followed closely by avocado. Shockingly, all those foods were prepared by mommy. Eleanor's daddy does most of the grown-up cooking around the house, and mom is more of the prep and clean up crew, but when it comes to baby food, mom's doing pretty well!
