Just wanted to give you an update on how we're doing. Today (well, yesterday since it's 1am) we are 26 weeks. We have one week left in the second trimester.
We had an appointment on Tuesday, and everything went well. My uterus measures a little bit small (like less than 2cm off), which made me a little afraid, but it is still within normal range. I gained 1 pound a week for the last four weeks, which is exactly on track. Still, we are going to have a sonogram after our next appointment, which is on the 26th, to check growth and if she looks small at all on our sono we will see a maternal fetal medicine specialist for a higher level exam.
At 26 weeks she can open her eyes and blink, and could probably even see light if I shined a flashlight at her. She can also hear pretty well now. There's no way to tell for sure how big Monkey is specifically, but on average babies are about 14 inches long and weight about 1 and 2/3 pounds right now.
I'd like to send you some pictures, but I am having camera trouble. I'll try to get that fixed soon.
